Facebook statuses now publish Web-wide

The default Facebook privacy setting will now publish users’ status updates to everyone on the Internet, moving toward the Twitter model. However, users will also be offered a more nuanced range of privacy settings, so they can choose privacy levels for each message or image they post to the networking site.
