The Motive by John Lescroart was a very good legal thriller. It was a New York Times Bestseller.
The basic plot is that Dismas Hardy’s first girl friend is being tried for the murder of her father-in-law and girl friend. It is up to Dismas and his good friend, Abe Glitsky, to prove that she didn’t commit the crime.
The plot twist was obvious and slow in materializing, but do recommend to those who like legal novels.
